Juan Pablo "JP" Riesco (Goalkeeper Coach)

JP Riesco brings a goalkeeper background shaped by both Chilean and American soccer. He played in Chile with Barnechea FC's academy in 2011 before joining 2SV from 2012 to 2013 — the team that eventually brought him to the United States.

In the U.S., JP played at MidAmerica Nazarene University and was part of the 2015 NAIA National Championship team. From 2015 to 2017, JP was scouted by Sporting KC while playing in college, which led to an official tryout with Swope Park Rangers in 2018.

After college and Swope Park Rangers, JP played semi-professionally with Santa Fe Wanderers in the UPSL from 2018 to 2020 while continuing to develop his coaching philosophy and modern goalkeeper training approach.

JP has been coaching since 2014. His sessions are built around the modern goalkeeper: not just saving shots, but leading from the back, playing with confidence, using the ball with quality, communicating, and handling the pressure that comes with the position.
